The Row
As part of the womenswear design team at The Row, I contributed to four ready-to-wear collections spanning Spring 2019 to Resort 2020. My role focused on creating precise, production-ready visual assets that supported both creative development and technical communication with manufacturers.

Brief:
Support the design and production of four womenswear collections by creating accurate, high-quality technical drawings and digital assets. Ensure clarity for manufacturers, contribute to creative ideation, and assist in developing innovative fabrications and garment prototypes.

Process:
Using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I translated hand-drawn sketches into detailed technical drawings for garment production. These files effectively communicated design intent to manufacturers, helping minimise errors and reduce material waste. I created illustrations across multiple product categories, including outerwear, dresses, trousers, tops, and accessories, and iterated on designs to reflect updates or explore variations.

I also developed digital laser-cutting files in Illustrator to experiment with decorative fabric techniques. This required precise vector design and an understanding of material limitations, demonstrating my ability to translate two-dimensional digital designs into functional, three-dimensional pieces.

Outcome:
My technical design work supported the production of garments featured in runway collections and campaign imagery. A laser-cut pleated waistcoat I worked on was prominently displayed on The Row’s homepage.
This experience deepened my proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and sharpened my ability to deliver accurate, production-ready assets as part of a fast-paced, detail-driven design team.
