A key aspect of this role involved creating detailed technical renderings of garment designs for the womenswear team. Sketches were produced using Adobe Illustrator to provide factories with a clear visual guide to ensure accurate garment production.
The images above showcase some of the final garments designed from these drawings for the Fall 2019 show and the Pre-Fall 2019 photo shoot. Digital renderings were created for a variety of garments, including outerwear, dresses, trousers, tops, and accessories.
Using Adobe Illustrator, digital designs were developed for laser-cutting fabric samples which were manufactured in Midtown.
One laser-cut design featured a pleating technique for a long waistcoat, which was showcased on the company’s website homepage.
Adobe Photoshop was used to quickly mock up design options featuring handmade embellishments, allowing the team to quickly test ideas. This process enabled experimentation with various placements, colors, and patterns before committing to physical samples.
