Exhibiting work for an exhibition at the LIC Factory in New York City. Designing a garment from unwanted clothing from friends and photographing the finished piece on those who contributed to the project. Editing the photographs which were published as part of an article in The Irish Times.

The piece is a reaction to the current mass consumption and waste problem in New York. Made from unwanted or old garments from friends, that otherwise would of ended up in charity shops (or more likely landfill). The work imbues a sense of community as a refection of New York as a cultural hub with pieces originating from around the world. Furthermore the end garment acts as an artefact an object to treasure and is displayed as in a museum. A symbol that clothing should be durable and last, a reaction to today's disposable culture worldwide.
